The Concept of the International Public Dialogue-Forum and Exhibition AtomEco 2017
Goals:
- Showcase of advanced technologies and exchange of the best practices in radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel management, decommissioning of nuclear and radioactive hazardous facilities
- Search for new, and development of existing, formats and tools of civil society relations;
- Development of international cooperation in the advancement and safety assurance of nuclear technologies.
Objectives:
- Discuss the implementation results of the stages of the Federal Targeted Program for the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Assurance 2,
- Brief the attendees on the development and achievements in back-end,
- Demonstrate the nuclear industry responsibility at all lifecycle stages of nuclear- and radiation-hazardous sites;
- Showcase the new technologies and technical solutions in back-end as part of the exhibition and business program of the Forum,
- Discuss the issues of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel management and decommissioning of nuclear- and radiation-hazardous sites involving the general public and environmental organizations,
- Develop business relations with major global companies through meetings and negotiations.
General data on the event:
2017 is the Year of Ecology. Environmental safety issues of the nuclear industry were widely discussed at the International Exhibition and Conference AtomEco and the International Public Forum-Dialogue "Nuclear Energy, Ecology, Safety". In 2017 these events will be held together under the name of International Forum-Dialogue and Exhibition AtomEco 2017.

Expositions, plenary session, thematic sessions and round-table discussions, technical tours, presentations, exhibition of the photo artist Vincze Bálint (graphic designer of the info center at Hungarian nuclear plant Paks), exhibition of the International Children Photo Competition 'Embraced by Nature', presentation of Paks and Gerjen regions (nuclear plants Paks and Paks-2, Hungary).
Event attendees:
Representatives of international organizations, federal, regional and municipal state authorities, foreign nuclear and radiation safety regulation authorities, Russian and foreign public and environmental organizations, chief executive officers of international nuclear industry companies, international and Russian representatives of scientific, expert and business communities in the nuclear sector, and representatives of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and its affiliates, allied industry companies working in partnership with the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM.
