Address of S.V. Kirienko, the Director General of State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, to the participants of the International Forum AtomEco 2013

Dear colleagues!

The President of the Russian Federation has declared this year to be the year of environmental protection, which testifies the emphasis that the state gives to solution of environmental problems.

Environmental safety issues prevail for nuclear power generation industry and they are essential condition of nuclear energy technology’s development and nuclear facility’s operation. Environmental policy implementation system that meets the highest international standards is created in the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and now it is in successful operation.

I am sure that representative composition of participants of International Forum AtomEco 2013, where leaders of Russian and foreign government authorities, ecology lead experts, entrepreneurship take part this year, will let us formulate joint recommendations concerning consolidation of environmental safety in the management of nuclear facilities.

I wish the participants of the Forum fruitful work, interesting discussions and new projects!
