Welcome address to the participants of the International Public Dialogue-Forum and Exhibition AtomEco 2017

Dear friends,

Holding the forum-dialogue and exhibition just in the Year of Ecology announced in Russia puts an even greater emphasis on the urgent character of the declared topic: provide nuclear, radiation and environmental safety; reduce the environmental impact of industrial enterprises; ensure social acceptability of industry development programs.

All these are really important controversial questions, and reaching an agreement on them is critical to successful implementation of large-scale environmental programs and projects. This is shown by Russian and international experience.

I am convinced that the dialogue which will take place at the Forum is important for each participant. The public will be able to get answers to all questions regarding the safe development of nuclear technologies. Nuclear experts will present tried-and-tested practices and already obtained results in a variety of applications: provision of safety, development of new technologies, environmental activity of enterprises.

I am sure that new business contacts will allow us to continue this dialogue after the Forum is over as well.
